Previous International Aid Action

HARWG initiates charity aid distribution several times a year, during the last year 2011-2012; during the previous year HARWG was able, through the generosity from the general public and private donors, we were able to distribute food and clothing aid on four occasions, each of the donations normally consist of two shipping containers of a mix of food, clothing, and educational aid.

In an effort to achieve maximum aid efficiency we emphasize promoting self help through capacity training and education. Through our continuous research we have established that aid is 40 to 70% more effective when administrated as preventative action, as opposed to reactionary efforts. For this reason we aim to provide farming aid, in the form of education and equipment, when drought is predicted; before we initiate food aid, however in areas where the first tactic is either unimplementable or inaccessible, we provide direct food aid.
